The displacement of a vertebra, usually of the 4th or 5th lumbar vertebra.
The procedure consists of blocking the displacement while repositioning the vertebra if possible. In certain cases, the displacement can reduce the size of the vertebral canal and cause a compression of the nerves.
Two techniques can be used separately or together:
-blockage of the vertebra from behind
-blockage of the vertebra from the front

BLOCKAGE FROM THE FRONT
The vertebral column is approached from the stomach, through the vertebral body. The damaged disc is removed and replaced with an implant (a cage) filled with bone that will fuse the adjacent vertebrae and block the displacement.
MIXED BLOCKAGE
This procedure uses both screws and bars as well as the installation of a cage, creating an anterior arthrodesis of the two vertebral bodies.
